Straight shape condenser with standard ground mouth is a glass instrument widely used in chemical experiments. It is mainly used to cool hot vapor into liquid. It is usually a slender straight glass tube with a length of 200-500 mm. This straight structure allows the cooling medium to flow evenly in the tube, thus providing a more stable cooling effect. Both ends have standard ground joints, and common specifications include 14, 19, 24, etc.These ground mouths can be tightly connected with other glass instruments with the same specifications of ground mouths, such as distillation flasks, fractionation flasks, etc., to form a sealed experimental device to ensure that no leakage occurs during the experiment. It consists of two layers of inner and outer glass. The hot steam to be cooled passes through the inner glass tube, and the cooling medium (usually water) passes through the outer glass tube. An annular cooling channel is formed between the two layers of glass, and the cooling medium flows in it, taking away the heat of the steam in the inner glass tube, so that the steam is cooled and condensed into liquid.

Straight shape condenser is made of high borosilicate glass with high stability, will not dilute harmful substances, and has good acid, alkali and hydrolysis resistance. It has high hardness, smooth surface, will not absorb impurities, and is easy to clean. High borosilicate glass is thickened and hardened, beautiful and crystal clear.

Product applications

(1) In chemical experiments, it can be used to cool the high-temperature vapor produced by distillation to achieve separation and purification of the mixture. It can be used for reflux reactions to ensure that the total amount of substances in the reaction system remains unchanged, thereby improving the reaction conversion rate and product yield.

(2) In chemical production, it can be used for product distillation to condense different components in the vapor into liquids at different temperatures to achieve separation of the components. It can be used for solvent recovery to cool the evaporated solvent vapor into a liquid state to achieve the purpose of solvent recovery.

(3) In food processing, it can be used for essential oil extraction to cool the water vapor containing essential oils to separate the essential oils and water. It can be used for alcohol production to cool the distilled alcohol vapor to obtain alcohol products with different alcohol degrees.
