Distilling head is a glass instrument used for distillation in chemical experiments, mainly used to connect flasks and distillation tubes. It is generally made of glass and usually has a main tube with a branch tube on the main tube. The branch tube is used to connect the condenser so that the distilled vapor can enter the condenser for cooling and liquefaction. One end of the main tube is connected to the distillation flask, and the other end can be connected to other instruments as needed, such as a thermometer sleeve.The ground part is its important feature, with standard sizes such as 14#, 19#, 24#, 29#, etc. These standard ground parts can be tightly connected with flasks, condensers and other instruments of the same specifications to ensure the sealing of the device and prevent steam leakage. A branch pipe is added to the ordinary distillation head. This branch pipe can be inserted with a thermometer during the reaction process to measure the temperature of the steam during the distillation process, thereby helping to judge the progress of the distillation and control the conditions of the distillation.

Distilling head is made of high borosilicate glass, which is a special glass material with low expansion rate, high temperature resistance, high strength, high hardness, high light transmittance and high chemical stability.
