(1) Gas-related experiments: It can be used as a gas generating device, such as the preparation of hydrogen and carbon dioxide by the reaction of solids and liquids without heating; it can also be used to test the properties of gases, and the reaction phenomenon between gases and reagents can be observed by connecting the instrument with the test reagents through the side branch.

(2) Chemical reaction experiments: Some simple liquid-liquid and liquid-solid reactions can be carried out. The side branch is convenient for adding reactants or discharging products, and can also be connected to condensers, etc., for reactions with reflux requirements.
