Product features
The Class A glass burette with a PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) stopcock is an extremely important precision measuring instrument in chemical analysis laboratories. It is mainly used in various titration analysis experiments and is a key tool for volumetric analysis.
The main body of this burette is made of borosilicate glass. This glass material has excellent chemical stability and thermal stability, and can withstand the erosion of a variety of chemical substances, ensuring stable performance in different experimental environments. The burette has a slender glass tube with a uniform inner diameter. The tube is marked with precise scales. The "0" scale is located at the upper end, and the full-scale mark is at the lower end. The scale values increase gradually from top to bottom, which facilitates users to accurately read the volume of the solution.
Its unique feature lies in the equipped PTFE stopcock. PTFE is a material with excellent chemical inertness and hardly reacts with any chemical substances. This enables the burette to safely hold various strongly acidic, strongly oxidizing or corrosive solutions, such as hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, potassium permanganate, etc., greatly expanding its scope of application.
As a Class A burette, it complies with strict national standards, has extremely high precision, and allows for minimal errors. It provides a reliable measurement guarantee for various high-precision chemical analysis experiments, ensuring the accuracy and reproducibility of experimental results.
Unlike traditional glass stopcocks that require the application of lubricants such as Vaseline, the PTFE stopcock has its own self-lubricating property and does not require additional lubrication treatment. This not only avoids problems such as stopcock sticking and liquid leakage caused by uneven application of the lubricant or the dissolution of the lubricant by the solution, but also prevents the lubricant from contaminating the solution, ensuring the reliability of the experimental results.
The rotation operation of the PTFE stopcock is very flexible, enabling easy control of the flow rate and dropping speed of the solution, making the titration process more precise and convenient. Experimenters can accurately adjust the outflow volume of the solution according to actual needs to ensure the accurate determination of the titration endpoint.

Product applications
Acid-base titration: It is used to accurately determine the concentration of unknown acid and base solutions. For example, when analyzing the acid content in industrial wastewater, a standard base solution of known concentration is titrated through this burette, so as to accurately obtain the acidity of the wastewater, providing a basis for wastewater treatment. In scientific research experiments, when analyzing the content of newly synthesized organic acid and base substances, this high-precision burette is also indispensable.
Drug component analysis: In the process of drug research and development and production, it is used to determine the content of active ingredients in drugs. For example, in the quality control of antibiotic drugs, titration analysis is carried out to determine the content of active ingredients in the drugs, ensuring the efficacy and safety of the drugs. For some compound drugs, this burette can also be used to determine different components separately.
Acidity determination: It is used to detect the total acidity in foods and beverages, such as fruit juices, wines, dairy products, etc. For example, when determining the malic acid content in apple juice, a standard base solution is accurately added through this burette for titration, so as to evaluate the quality and flavor of the juice and provide data support for product quality control and formula adjustment.
