The 1902 type Ostwald gas analysis apparatus is composed of a comb-shaped tube with multiple ground pistons connected to a graduated gas cylinder and several suction balloon tubes. It is fixed on a wooden frame and has four absorption bottle. It is suitable for industrial analysis of carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, oxygen and hydrocarbons in coal gas, and is also suitable for measuring the composition of air in public health work.

The Ostwald gas analysis apparatus has a precisely calibrated gas volume tube, which can accurately measure the gas volume and provide a reliable measurement basis for subsequent analysis. Equipped with four absorption bottles, each absorption bottle contains a specific absorbent, which can selectively absorb different components in the gas in sequence.The device is equipped with multiple valves that can accurately control the flow direction of gas and the connection and disconnection between various parts, ensures that gas flows between different components according to experimental requirements, and facilitating experimental operations and gas processing. The level bottle is connected to the gas measuring tube. By adjusting the height of the level bottle, the pressure of the gas can be controlled, so that the gas can flow stably during the analysis process, and it is convenient for gas transfer and measurement in different steps to ensure that the measurement results are at constant pressure.
