Reflux condenser with coiled inner tube is a commonly used glass instrument in laboratories, mainly used for reflux operations in chemical experiments. It consists of an inner core tube and an outer tube. The inner core tube is serpentine, usually a spiral glass tube, which increases the length and cooling area of the glass tube. The outer tube is a straight glass tube, which is placed outside the inner core tube to form an annular space between the inner core tube and the inner core tube for passing cooling water.Both ends are equipped with standard ground-mouth interfaces, which are convenient for tight connection with other glass instruments with the same specifications of ground-mouth, such as flasks, to form a reflux device. During the reflux operation, after the liquid in the flask is heated and boiled, the generated steam rises and enters the inner core tube of the serpentine condenser. Since the inner core tube is cooled by the cooling water in the outer tube, the steam quickly condenses into liquid after being cooled, and flows back into the flask along the inner wall of the serpentine inner core tube. In this way, the reactants can be kept in a boiling state for a long time, while preventing the volatilization loss of the reactants, so that the reaction can proceed fully.
