Distilling head with thorn tube is a glass instrument used for distillation and fractionation operations in chemical experiments. The main body of the fractionating head is a thorn-shaped fractionating column. There is a group of downward-inclined thorn-shaped glass columns at a certain distance in the column, and each group of thorn-shaped glass columns is arranged in a spiral shape. This structure can provide a large surface area, so that the vapor and liquid are fully in contact, which is conducive to multiple condensation and gasification processes, thereby improving the fractionation effect. The interface of the fractionating head is designed with a standard ground mouth. Common specifications are 10, 14, 19, 24, 29, 34, 40, etc.These specifications of ground joints can be tightly connected with instruments of corresponding specifications to ensure the sealing of the device, and are convenient for assembly with other instruments such as distillation flasks, condensers, thermometer sleeves, etc. into a complete distillation or fractionation device. During the fractionation process, the mixed liquid is heated to boiling, and the generated vapor rises into the thorn-shaped fractionation head. Through this multiple condensation and vaporization process, components with different boiling points can be gradually separated.
