Small mouth and big stopper joint is an important accessory for connecting laboratory glass instruments. It is made of high borosilicate glass and has good chemical and thermal stability. One end of the joint is a smaller ground mouth and the other end is a larger ground plug. The size specifications of the ground mouth and the ground plug follow the unified standard, such as the common 14#, 19#, 24#, etc. The same specification joints produced by different manufacturers can be used interchangeably. When the ground mouth and the ground plug sizes of different glass instruments in the laboratory do not match and cannot be directly connected, the small mouth and large plug joint can be used as a bridge for transition connection.

Small mouth and big stopper joint have good frosted fit between the ground mouth and the ground plug, which can achieve a high vacuum degree, effectively prevent leakage, and ensure the sealing of the experimental device; it is used to connect standard ground mouth glass instruments of different specifications, playing a transitional role, so that instruments that could not be directly connected can be assembled together, meeting the construction requirements of the experimental device; when in use, connect the small ground mouth to the smaller ground plug on the instrument, and the large ground plug to the larger ground mouth on the instrument. Assembly and disassembly are relatively simple, but attention should be paid to the operation method to avoid damaging the ground mouth.
